Dr. Gurneet Kohli completed his medical school in India and then trained in Internal Medicine in New York City. He worked in a rural community clinic in Towanda, PA for Guthrie Clinic right out of residency. There, he promoted preventive care and started 'no patient turned back' policy along with empowering diabetics with their own care. He has family in and around Austin, so he decided to move here after his son was born. He lives with his wife and their two children. He likes to play tennis, soccer, watch movies, kayaking, and mountain biking.
"Patients are the captains of their 'Health ship'. A doctor should act as the navigator. My job is to help the patients by giving them all the information they need to make the right decisions about their health. All I need to do is listen carefully to the patient, and understand his/her needs. Simple. I have a special interest in geriatrics, diabetes mellitus, and preventive cardiology."

“My goal is to be a patient advocate. I always try to explain to patients the positive and negative sides of each problem and provide all the necessary medical advice so that patients can make an informed decisions about their own health. Patients enjoy working with me on a treatment plan because I listen and develop a personalized plan that incorporates patients’ input and preferences. I have a passion for internal medicine where I manage patients with complex medical problems. I am also passionate about educating patients about preventative measures to improve their health and well-being. My special interests are endocrinology and cardiology. On a daily basis, I see patients with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, acute illnesses, thyroid problems, women’s health, and wellness exams.”

Terah Trail is a Physician Assistant board-certified by the National Commission on the Certification of PAs. She graduated from the University of Arkansas (woo pig sooie!) with honors in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. In 2024 she completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at The University of St. Francis in Albuquerque, NM. A DFW native, Terah was excited to return to Texas and join the Premier Family Physicians team. Outside of the office, Terah enjoys long walks, anything to do with water (swimming, kayaking, water aerobics,) and discovering the best place to find quesabirria tacos in Austin (suggestions welcome.)
“My practice is deeply rooted in advocacy and empowerment. I believe that every patient deserves a compassionate healthcare provider who listens attentively and works collaboratively to achieve their personalized health goals. I view each patient as a whole person, considering their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. This holistic approach allows me to address not just the symptoms but the root causes of health issues, leading to more comprehensive and effective care.
As a recent graduate, collaboration is central to my work. Effective healthcare is a team effort. I work closely with physicians, nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care. By leveraging the expertise of the entire healthcare team, I ensure that patients receive the best possible care.”
