Dr. Taura Khorramshahi is a board-certified family physician dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for patients of all ages. Born and raised in Arlington, Texas, she knew from a young age that she wanted to be a physician. Her passion for medicine led her to be accepted into medical school right out of high school, entering the combined eight-year Bachelor of Science/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program at Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Khorramshahi went on to complete her Family Medicine residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where she cared for patients from diverse backgrounds and refined her skills in preventive care, chronic disease management, women’s health, and pediatric medicine.
Now, she is excited to return to her home state of Texas and serve the Austin community, bringing her approachable, attentive style to every patient encounter. She believes in treating the whole person — not just the symptoms — and partnering with patients to help them achieve their best possible health.
In her free time, Dr. Khorramshahi enjoys hiking, exploring local parks, cooking, listening to music, and spending quality time with her family, all while appreciating the beauty and vibrant culture that Austin has to offer.

Care Philosophy: “I believe in caring for the whole person — mind, body, and spirit — rather than focusing solely on symptoms or a single diagnosis. Every patient’s story is unique, and I take time to listen, understand, and address all aspects of their health. I view the patient-physician relationship as a true partnership, built on trust, respect, and open communication. Through shared decision-making, I work alongside my patients to create care plans that reflect their values, preferences, and goals, empowering them to take an active role in their health journey.”
