Leslie moved to Austin in 1982. She graduated with honors from UT Austin with a BA in Biology and worked for Dr. Dawson for several years as a medical assistant before going back to school. She graduated with honors from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio with her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. She and her husband Matt have been together since 2006 and have one son named Jaxon. She is an avid runner and animal lover. Her interests include live music, cooking, and spending time with her family and three dogs.
