Dr. Hartman’s career has been significantly influenced by her youth in Mali, where she learned to appreciate and value various cultural perspectives. Dr. Hartman grew up speaking three languages and witnessing the beautiful bustle of Bamako, the country’s capital city. She returned to the US for college and medical school. Afterward, she had the privilege to continue working with a variety of people with diverse backgrounds in the urban center of Columbus, Ohio, which has many international patients as well as other vulnerable populations. Dr. Hartman moved to the Austin area with her husband for an opportunity at the university and has been fortunate to find a home at Premier Family Physicians.

Care Philosophy
“I enjoy caring for the whole person within their family and cultural context. I enjoy getting to know the entire family and how they interact with their community. I believe strongly in engaging patients in their medical care and working together. I appreciate the rapport formed over time with patients and am here to offer perspective, encouragement, balance, and hope we face a challenging world. I am a patient as well as a physician, and I strive to treat people the way I would want my provider to treat me.”
